Elders
The ministry of the elders is multifaceted in a church. A church should appoint a plurality of qualified elders who are gifted in different ministries and can use their gifts for the building up of the church. The elders comprise a team of men who cohesively work together to pursue and carryout the shepherding and teaching of the church.

Deacons
The deacons of the church pick up the mantle of leading in service to meet the physical/material needs of the church. These are areas in the church that are of utmost importance and have a tendency to draw the pastor’s/elder’s attention away from prayer and ministry of the Word (Acts 6:4). In caring for the physical needs of the church and by freeing up the pastors/elders to pray and minister the Word, the deacons allow the Gospel to increase and multiply (Acts 6:7).
